Michael R. Potter

Michael R. Potter, 83, of Freedom, passed away on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Heritage Valley Beaver.  He was born in Pittsburgh on February 21, 1942, to the late James and Dorothy (McAteer) Potter.

Michael is survived by his loving wife, Linda (Bayorek) Potter; daughter, Monica (Paul) Bigley, son, Michael Potter, and daughter, Dory Pierce; 2 stepdaughters, Joann (Thomas) Guyaux and Nikki (Mike) Stevens; 5 granddaughters and 1 grandson, 4 step-granddaughters and 3 step-grandsons; and a combination of 13 great-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by 2 brothers, James Potter and Billy Potter.

All are welcome to gather for a visitation on Tuesday, January 13, from 11AM until the time of service, commencing at 12 PM, in the John Syka Funeral Home, 833 Kennedy Drive, Ambridge.  At the family’s request, interment will be private.
